La boheme at Munchen Opera House: Romania conquers Bavaria!
[ Author Adrian Trasca ]
To come from Bucharest to Munchen, 1600 km, to see a show looks crazy! But if the show has Angela Gheorghiu in foreground, the crazy starts to have a sense! And during the show and after you realise... that it was not something crazy!
Angela Gheorghiu is a goddess! And you can not realise that until you see her in a show, even if the role is smaller than Floria Tosca or Violeta Vallery! I would like to say more, but I did say everything from the first phrase: Angela Gheorghiu is a goddess!
But... she was not the only one of Romania to the Bavarian Festival! Mussette was excellent performed by Laura Tatulescu. Marcelo, deliciously expressive and impeccable by Levente Molnar, who is from Miercurea Ciuc. And "the last" Romanian from the rich list of the distribution of this show is the conductor Dan Ettinger. The only main role who was not played by a Romanian was Rudolfo, excellent performed by Joseph Calleja. An wonderfull voice, full matched with Angela Gheorghiu`s, their duets being absolutelly touching.
At the final, at applauses, Angela Gheorghiu was delighted because a spectator came from Bucharest, far away, and show the Romanian tricolor flag through the German spectators! "Look! There is the flag! " Angela told to Laura Tatulescu when she saw the flag and, after the show, the queue for autographes took two hours. Angela Gheorghiu wanted to give an autographe for everyone and she had patience to take pictures with all who wanted, even she was tired and even the hour was late. And Angela Gheorghie was delighted by the ideea to make photos with the Romanian flag, too!
Romania conquers Bavaria! The miracles exist!
To come from Bucharest to Munchen to see a show looks crazy! But if the show has Angela Gheorghiu in foreground... I will repeat the crazy trip when I will have the next ocasion! |
